I am writing this post while standing. Yes, that is how excited I am to make this blog (and also because I am writing this using my phone while its charging on the only available socket that happens to be far from our sofa). And pardon me if you’ll see wrong grammar here and there (grammar nazi beware). I have no time to edit. I must post this right away!
National Book Store is having their first ever Book Binge Bazaar at SM Megamall, Megatrade Hall 3. And the people –by people, I meant me, myself and I– are going crazy over the book sale!
If you love foreign novels, then this is the best time for you to hoard books. In my opinion, this sale is waaaay better than the ones NBS have during the MIBF.
I arrived at the venue at about 10:15 in the morning, and boy the place was already filled with fellow bookworms-slash-hoarder.
There were sooo many good YA books on sale –both paper back AND hard bound books for YA genre are only priced at 175php– that I had a hard time deciding which one should go inside my basket. Also, they have children’s book for only 75php! The prices are a steal, I tell you.
I never knew YA books were so popular even among adults. But there you go.
If you’re a fan of Sarah J. Maas, then go and grab this 5th intsallment in her Throne of Glass novel series for only 175php, hard bound book. Unfortunately for me, I haven’t finished reading Throne of Glass, so I had to put the book back on the table. And oh! Look! Isn’t that Cassandra Claire’s The Bane Chronicles?
Oh, no. That’s not my haul. How I wish! Unfortunately for me (oh, darn it!) I’m on a tight budget. Sooo…
Anywho, this Bazaar started this morning, February 9, 2018, and will end on Sunday, February 11, 2018. The bazaar is from 10:00am till 10:00pm.
TIPS FOR YOU:
(Oh, do heed my advice for you to avoid inconveniences.)
1. Be early. Yes, Early as in before SM Megamall will open. Believe me, I arrived there at 10:15, and the place was almost half full with people! By 12pm, they already cut admission since megatrade hall 3 was already jampacked. Long queue of eager buyers were waiting outside the megatrade hall to be admitted since you could hardly move inside due to the number of people in the hall. At nagkakaubusan na ng cart at basket!
2. List the books you would really, trully, want to buy or read. This is helpful for you not to be overwhelmed with the number of books in the hall. At para hindi ka ma-overspend.
3. Bring a friend (boyfriend, or significant other, its really up to you, lol) to help you make bitbit of your pamili. National Book store gives you the option to place your books in boxes (if you bought plenty of books) or paperbags. Their paper bags seemed sturdy enough. But to be safe and sure, bring your own ecobag.
Whew! So that’s about it. And oh! If you’re wondering what I bought:
Finally! Hahaha. Because I am inlove with Kresley Cole. Period. Nuff said.
And incase you don’t believe me:
xoxo
