So here’s the good news: The End Is Here!—and I helped write it.
The bad news? Well, The End Is Here!—and I helped write it.
But before you grab your go-bag and sprint for the hills, let me explain.
This isn’t your average apocalyptic panic attack in book form. This is an interactive adventure—one where you get to make the choices, suffer the consequences, and maybe (just maybe) survive the end of the world. Or 39 of them, to be exact.
Yep, 39 possible endings. That’s thirty-nine different ways you could totally save the world… or lose a limb. Or your mind. Or your soul. Or, you know, get turned into zombie bait because you trusted the wrong ex with your location. Again.
You are Noa. You wake up in a world that is not okay. Society? Collapsed. The sky? Weird. The streets? Questionable. You could be facing a zombie outbreak, an alien takeover, a full-blown AI uprising, or just your run-of-the-mill eternal winter. Casual Tuesday stuff. What you do next? That’s entirely up to you.
Do you follow your best friend’s advice?
Do you turn left or go right?
Do you eat the canned beans marked “DO NOT EAT”? (Why are you like this?)

In The End Is Here! An Interactive Apocalyptic Adventure, every choice counts. And unlike real life, you can flip back and pretend you definitely didn’t just walk into that haunted megachurch full of cybernetic cultists. Whoops.
This chaotic ride of an apocalypse was brought to life by six authors (yes, six!), each of us taking on a piece of the narrative puzzle and somehow making it fit together like a perfectly scorched jigsaw. You’ll find flavors of horror, dark humor, chaos, found family, existential dread, a little bit of hope, and at least one unhelpful AI.
We are:
- Shiela Familaran
- Shim Simplina

We wrote this under Indie Pop, an imprint of Summit Books, and it officially launched during the Manila International Book Fair in September 2024—because what better time to release the end of the world than at the biggest book event of the year?
If you’ve ever wanted to live through the end of the world without leaving your room—or maybe just wanted to scream-laugh while trying to outwit alien overlords with nothing but a crowbar and a sense of humor—this one’s for you.
So grab a copy, choose wisely, and remember:
The end is here. But maybe, just maybe, you’ll make it out alive.
(And if you don’t? Flip back a few pages. We won’t tell.)
